Chris Golden, 22, is the Executive Director of myImpact.org, an online platform for ordinary citizens to record, share and track their impact.
After being named to a list of “100 Young Leaders” in 2008, Chris co-founded myImpact.org and has since worked at the intersection of the fast-changing fields of social media and civic engagement. myImpact.org was recognized by The Washington Post in 2010 as an example of a “startup working at the nexus of social media and social change.”
Chris frequently speaks on leadership, service and social media to student, young leader and non-profit audiences including the National Young Leaders Conference, Global Young Leaders Conference, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Washington and National 4-H Convention. He has written for The Washington Times, Change/Wire, Change Up Magazine and Campus Splash.
@ChrisGolden is an avid tweeter. He’s served for two years as official Twitter correspondent for the National Conference on Citizenship, was invited to NASA Tweetups at the Kennedy Space Center for the STS-133 and STS-135 launches and the first White House Twitter Town Hall with President Obama.
A native of Coventry, Connecticut, Chris is a 2007 graduate of Pomfret School, where he now serves on the Alumni Association Executive Council. He is a 2010 graduate of the American University School of Public Affairs where he holds a degree in interdisciplinary affairs. Chris serves on the Grab The Torch 30 under 30 Leadership Committee and is a fellow at the Institute for Education.
